| Oregon in the Summertime - What a Great Place To Be! |
August 2007 |

|
We finished "The Rally" in Redmond last month. It was a
super show, although a little smaller than in previous years. I had
600+ people to the Don't Go Without hook & loop seminar and 450 to the
Frustration Free RVing seminar. I think they all showed up at the
booth as we were very busy.
Being in Oregon in the summertime
is a wonderful experience. The weather has been just lovely. It has
been sunny and warm but much cooler than Arizona that's for sure.
We're up here for five shows, ending with the FMCA in Redmond. We're
then off to Canada to go Rving with the grandkids. Grandma can't
wait! Grandpa too! The grandkids really love the "castle on wheels"
as they call it.
We're taking a few days off at Newport Beach
on the Oregon Coast and today we walked the beach with some friends and
checked out the tide pools at low tide. It was sunny, a litle breezy
and temperatures of 66. Can't beat that can you? We played a little
golf yesterday and probably will again tomorrow. The seafood is GREAT!
We've
added a couple of new products this month, so please check them out.
We have added 5' lengths of Sticky Back Hook (hook only) as well as a
new product from Goo Gone called Goo Gone Spray Gel. It makes removing
high temp sticky back a snap. Watch for a fabulous new product coming in the near future - Bugs Be Gone! Also, check out the customer comments about the shower head.
We look forward to seeing you down the road somewhere. Happy and safe motoring.

Safe Removal of Sticky Back Hook & Loop
Many people are concerned about using Sticky Back Hook & Loop in
their rigs. Their concern is "How do I get it off?" and "Will it do any damage to my walls?"
For years I have used regular sticky back and never had a problem
getting it off and have had no damage done to the walls, wallpaper, countertops,
dashboard etc. For the last 2 years I
have been using our new High Temperature Sticky Back and recently tried to get
some off. It was much harder to remove
than the traditional product because of the superior high temperature adhesive which withstands temperatures of 212 drgrees. It is REALLY popular with RVers as a result. It came off and didn't do any
damage to the rig. The wood in my rig is
real wood and not photographed wood. I
think that removing it from a wall that has photographed wood might cause damage to the finish.
I have recently come across a new product from Goo Gone called Goo
Gone Spray GEL. It is a spray that doesn't
run down the wall or all over the counter. I sprayed some on the Hook &
Loop on the wall and left it for 30 minutes and then removed it. It came off much easier. I tried it on various applications for
removing the sticky back adhesive and it works wonderfully well. Just spray it on, let it sit for 30 minutes
and then remove. You will be pleased
with the result. It is very hard to
find in stores. You can find the little
4 oz bottles of Goo Gone but the Spray Gel is really difficult to locate. It has a spray trigger and comes in a 12 oz bottle. Goo Gone Spray Gel has some other interesting other uses as well. The label says to use it to remove chewing
gum, crayon, stickers & labels, makeup, candle wax, tape residue, glue,
tar, bugs, sap, carpet stains and grease.
I have tried it for removing paint from my hands as well as caulking. When I am installing vents I get caulking on
my hands, which then ends up on my clothes.
I just spray my hands and my clothes with this product and it comes
right off. Quite amazing! Please let me know what other uses you find
for it.

5' LENGTHS OF STICKY BACK HOOK NOW AVAILABLE
We have had numerous requests for longer lengths of Sticky Back Hook from our customers. Many people need this to hang their sun shades on the inside of the windshield and we are now making this available in white or black hook. Some people have had their windshield replaced and lost the original high temperature hook that was on the windshield so this will now provide you with the replacement product you require.

XTREME VENT NOTICE (in case you missed it last month)
Many of you purchased the Xtreme Vent more than a year ago, prior to the time when Coil n' Wrap purchased the company from the inventor of the product. Since then we have made some structural changes to the vent to make it stronger and to prevent the wing from coming off. Some of you have had this experience and it is a nuisance. The original vents had two aluminum rivets in the top of the wing which over time could break. We have replaced the front rivet with a stainless steel rivet and a backup washer. The back aluminum rivet has been replaced with a stainless steel screw. In addition we added a rivet and backup washer to the underside of the nose cone to further strengthen the unit.
If the wing decides to take flight to parts unknown you have to contact us and pay the shipping to have a replacement vent sent out. Sometimes the nose cone is still attached and the only piece you need is a replacement wing, however most of the time, the nose cone is gone meaning the entire vent needs to be replaced.
I would suggest that you go up and check out your vents and see if the wings are still firmly attached to the base. To strengthen your units and make it less likely you will be inconvenienced by this, drill a 1/8" hole behind the back rivet and insert a #8 x 5/8" screw. This will secure the wing and will most likely prevent the loss of the wing. If you like, send an email to shipper@coilnwrap.com and we will send you out at no charge a repair kit, which includes the rivet, washer and screw. The image below shows the postion of the screw, just behind where a rivet had broken off. The front rivet was not replaced in this picture.

Customer Comments
"Hi Ken, We bought the shower head from you and just got back from 10 days of dry camping. Great pressure and it used a LOT less water. With three women in my coach, I really appreciate less trips with the blue jug to the gray water dump. Thanks, Mike"
Barbara reported: "We installed a shower head in our Country Coach. Our system allows us to monitor the amount of water we use. We can happily report we used 1/2 the amount of water and had twice the shower. It was truly incredible!"
Vern said "You need to put a warning label on these shower heads. It almost blew the back wall out of my shower. Unbelievable shower head." He also bought one for his house.
We get comments like this all the time about the shower head. Please forward any comments about our products to kwilton@coilnwrap.com.
