Dear
RV Enthusiast,
Here we are in mid-summer and in Arizona it's hot.
So hot we had to escape from it so we took off for
Ireland for 10 days. We kissed the Blarney Stone,
drank
some Guinness and traveled around the country.
It was a nice break and we had a great time. We
enjoyed the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry,
Ballybunion and the Waterford Crystal Factory. The
people were wonderful and we enjoyed staying in
B&B's instead of a
motor home for a change. It was a treat to have
breakfast cooked for you. Now we're back and will
hit the road to Washington and
Oregon in September. Perhaps we'll see you there.

Reusable Duct Tape - Without the Mess! |
 |
What are the three things that every RVer needs in
their rig? Hook & Loop, WD40 and Duct Tape. Well we are
going to introduce you to Reusable Duct Tape,
without the mess! It's actually called Wonder
Wrap
and after using it you will wonder how you ever got
along without it. It's just a great product around the
rig. It has the hook on one side and the loop on
the other so when you wrap it around something it
will stick to itself. It's great for securing bicycles,
flag
poles, carpets, lawn chairs, furniture or whatever
you are looking to secure. Using Wonder Wrap
in conjunction with High Temp Sticky Back provides
some interesting possibilities. If you are having
a problem with things jumping out of the cupboards
after you have been driving, Wonder Wrap and Sticky
Back provide an ideal partnership to solve this issue.
Just put some sticky back on the inside of the
cupboard on each side. Stretch the Wonder Wrap
across the cupboard opening and attach it to the
Sticky Back. This will create a retention strap so
items may be leaning, when you open the cupboard,
but they won't be jumping! Use this in the kitchen,
bathroom or in any cupboard where this can be an
issue. Also you can use it to secure items inside a
cupboard. In the picture you can see how Wonder
Wrap and Sticky Back work together to support
crystal glasses in the cupboard corner. Having a
problem with furniture moving
around or things falling over, secure it with Wonder
Wrap. Quite often you will also use Sticky Back on
the wall. Check out the picture of the Air Cleaner.
There I am using a piece of Sticky Back at each end
of the Wonder Wrap strap. This also works well to
secure fire extinguishers.
Using Wonder
Wrap
and Sticky Back on your Spacemaker coffee pot will
enable you to travel with the carafe IN the machine.
Just put a piece of Sticky Back hook on each side of
the machine and then cut the Wonder Wrap strap to
fit across the front of the machine and through the
handle and secure to the sticky back. Are
you having a problem with the sun hitting
the screen on the outdoor TV, put some Sticky Back
on the underside of the compartment door and on
the rig. Attach a
Wonder Wrap strap to hold the
door down to block
the sun. On the sides of the compartment door, put
some Sticky Back and
hang a sun shade to block the side reflections
from the screen.
Use Wonder Wrap to
secure
lawn chairs and ladders to your rig. It also works
great
for securing flag poles. You can click on any of the
pictures in the links to enlarge the
photo's.
Another great use is for securing a
garbage bag to stop it from sliding down into the
garbage can. You won't have to clean out the
garbage can nearly as often. Notice in the picture how the strap is
overlapping itself. That is so I can easily find the
end of it when it's time to change the bag. This idea
also
works great on large garbage cans.
Ever had your 30 or 50 amp electrical cable
want to almost
fall out of the campground receptacle? Use Wonder Wrap to go around the
pedestal and secure the plug.
Wonder
Wrap also works nicely to
secure a tool box. In this picture the tool box is in
the front end of the rig near the generator. It has
ridden there for a year and a half and I have never
had to clean it.
In this picture you can see
Wonder Wrap is securing a
telescoping ladder (black case) in front of the
generator and another piece of Wonder Wrap is
securing a yellow 50' 10 gauge cord to the frame.
Like a said earlier, Wonder Wrap is so handy
& useful you will Wonder how you every got along
without it. Drop me a line with your creative uses.
Please email me pictures as well.

In August, Highways Magazine wrote an article about
the Super High Temp Sticky Back and we have
been overwhelmed with orders and phone calls ever
since. Some questions that came up are as
follows:
Many people have had problems with the Hook & Loop on
their sun shades not staying attached to the
windshield and they were asking if this product would
work. The answer is yes. A windshield will get up to
177 degrees in the sun and it doesn't have to be hot
outside for that to happen. Even an 80 degree day
will get the windshield that hot. Regular Hook & Loop will
peel off around 107 degrees. The High Temp adhesive on our product is rated for
temperatures up to 212 degrees. I use it on my own
windshield here in Arizona and it doesn't peel off.
I was also asked about securing shades in the roof
vents and skylights. The same answer applies here.
The High Temp
product will do the job.
Highways wrote an
article in July about the
One Piece Hose & Faucet Quick Connect
adapter,
the only one piece quick connect in the
market. It is one of our top selling products and if
you missed the article check out Page 73 in the July
issue of Highways. Our connector is a threaded
connector with a washer. It slips over the threads
on the faucet and has a sleeve that slides up to lock
the threads on our unit to the threads of the faucet,
locking it in place against the washer. This
eliminates the possibility of leaks. No twisting, no
turning and no leaks. No need to use those channel
locks either.
Please drop us an email
or give us a call with any questions, suggestions or
ideas. You always love to hear from you.
