Hose & Faucet Connector

The Hose & Faucet Connector provides a Quick Seal when connecting your hose to a faucet, extra hose, sprayer, power washer, car wash wand, lawn sprinkler or other water device. RV’rs love it for connecting their hose to their pressure regulator, 'Y' , in-line water filter and/or the water and sewer flush connections on their RV.

How does it work?
The outer sleeve on the connector slides up and down. When it is up, it grips the faucet creating a threaded connection. You can try turn it slightly to the right once you have it connected to the faucet. It may already be snug or it may turn very, very slightly – usually no more than a quarter of an inch. This snugs it up against the seal in the connector. Thus we say, “NO MORE TURNING! NO MORE LEAKS!”

TO CONNECT: Hold onto the hose (or whatever you are connecting – pressure regulator, Y, etc.) and push the seal against the base of the faucet. Note: as you do this, once you have the connector’s seal flush against the faucet, the grooves in the hose connector will fall between the threads on the faucet. Once the connector is flush or square, put your hand on the outer sleeve and slide it up. This closes the threaded jaws around the faucet. Check to see if it is snug, by turning it slightly to the right. Usually it goes on snug and needs no turning. Occasionally it needs to be turned up to one quarter of an inch to snug it up so you have no drips. Thus, “No more turning. No more leaks”.

HOW IT WORKS & WHY IT DOESN'T LEAK

Note: Do not hang onto the hose connector when squaring it up with the faucet. Hold on to whatever is connected to the hose connector. This prevents the outer sleeve from starting to slide up and thus the jaws from starting to close prematurely. If this happens, the seal cannot be held flush against the faucet. If there is any leakage, turn the sleeve slightly to tighten, otherwise do not turn it after attaching.

TO DISCONNECT: You will notice that there are two clips on the base of the outer sleeve of the connector. Hold onto the hose just below the connector. Place your thumb and forefinger on the clips. DO NOT PINCH THE CLIPS. Pull down on them. This pulling down action will bring the sleeve back down and you can then give the connector a slight turn and pull it off the faucet.
Note:: To conserve the life of the connector, bring the sleeve down and then remove the hose from the faucet. Pulling down on the hose, drags the grooves on the connector over the faucet’s threads and could shorten the life of your connector. With normal use, following our directions, your connector will last a very long time.
