Battery Watering System
Filling your batteries can be a real pain! You have to clean the batteries first before you take the caps off so dirt doesn't get inside. Then remove the caps and fill the batteries with distilled water. Sometimes the manufacturers in their wisdom, or lack thereof, have put the batteries in positions that make it difficult if not impossible to add water. You sometimes need a small mirror to see inside the battery and then trying to get the adequate amount of water into the battery and not all over it.

Two years ago I installed a battery filling system that allows me to do just that. I don't even have to pull the battery tray out on my rig. I just open the battery compartment door, pull out a hose that is connected to the batteries, put one end into the distilled water jug and squeeze the pump that is attached to the hose. The system automatically fills the individual cells to the correct level and then shuts that cell off. It then fills the next and then the next and so on, until you can't squeeze the pump anymore. It takes all the frustration and aggravation out of filling the batteries. It also adds years of life to the batteries because they have been properly filled.
