Awning Lock RV Product Instructions & Pictures

1) Using a step-ladder mark the location of the lock on the awning main support arm. The shaft part of the lock crosses 1/8" above the awning end cap. Center the lock assembly on the support arm and mark the bottom location with a marker. Make a mark on the roller tube ½ below where the shaft crosses the end cap. Extend the awning out and lock it in place. Place the template on the arm where you made the mark on the awning arm.

2) Center punch the holes as indicated on the template, and using the #9 drill bit, supplied, drill and secure with the 10/32 x1" stainless steel machine screws and lock nuts, supplied.

3) Center punch the mark on the aluminum end cap first, then using the #18 drill bit, supplied, drill straight into the end cap and roller tube.

4) Install the 10/32x5/8" stainless steel thread forming machine screw with the 3/8x1/4" spacer in the hole. This is the roller tube stop. Installation is now complete. Put the awning up. To lock the awning, in the travel position, simply push the end of the lock shaft towards the end cap using your awning wand.

To unlock the awning, prior to lowering and unlocking the OEM lock, push or slide the lock shaft away from the end cap using your awning wand. This position of the lock shaft clears the awning stop.
